The last week of peace and quiet

Calm before the storm

With the arrival of MPV Everest now closer than ever, most folks around town are looking forward to getting home. But it's also a chance to look back at the experiences and memories of an epic Antarctic adventure.

No doubt this will be remembered by all for many years to come, for the good times, but also the challenges we've overcome along the way. This weekend just past, we took the chance to sit down for a formal dinner as a group of 22, before next week when we will be overwhelmed with new faces and smiles, growing to a population of 70 during re-supply.

Stay tuned for next week when the 73rd ANARE Davis team will handover to the incoming crew, and say farewell to our home here at Davis station.
