The Australian Antarctic Program (AAP) Separation Guide is a useful resource in supporting expeditioners and their family & friends to prepare for a period of separation associated with AAP participation. The Separation Guide is a great resource in helping you to understand what you might need to consider in preparing for separation associated with AAP participation, as well as offering some practical tips and suggestions. It also includes information on how you can access support across the separation period.
Recognising that returning home is also a period for transition, for both our expeditioners and their family & friends, we've also included information, suggestions and tips in the Separation Guide to support you through the returning home process.
The AAP Separation Guide is document that we are continually reviewing. With this in mind, we’d welcome your feedback to psychologyHR@aad.gov.au, on how useful it was, as well as any suggestions on what we might include in future editions.
