The annual resupply operation is underway

The weather turns it on for the Casey expeditioners

This week at Casey the annual resupply operation is underway.

On a bomber blue-sky Casey day, Monday afternoon saw the imposing new resupply vessel MPV Everest arrive and operations commence.

Over the next 10 days, station and ship personnel will be working hand-in-hand to ensure the safe discharge of 660 tonnes of cargo and over 1 million litres of fuel. These 10 days of operations will be the culmination of many months of precise planning and hard work by dedicated support teams across the supply servcies, shipping, and operations sections within the Australian Antarctic Division.

We look forward to ensuring delivery of a safe and efficient resupply.

- Kyle (Station Leader).
