This week’s news brought to you by Emry T C.
This week at Casey, personnel are breaking a sweat even in below minus twenty! Expeditioners have been doing various types of exercises, whether to improve their cardio, their flexibility, or to build muscle. Some of the training that has been conducted at Casey ranges from high intensity interval circuits, weight lifting, yoga, and cardio sessions such as rowing and running.
Dean Ahern, our local kick boxing instructor, is teaching new techniques while also ensuring there is some hard work being put into the bags and pads to maximise output. Not to mention everyone’s favourite work out — the endless battle of shovelling of snow to keep the crew strong and fit to survive the Antarctic winter.
