This month we’ve been celebrating a few birthdays at Mawson.
It’s always a special occasion to be able to have a birthday down in Antarctica, so the whole team have been looking forward to each and every birthday this year.
We all look forward to joining in the festivities, congratulating whoever the lucky birthday person is and wishing them many happy returns. However, let’s be completely honest here – what we’re really looking forward to is the cake!! It’s all about the cake!!
Our awesome Chef Kez has spoilt us with some delicious birthday cakes this year and they just keep getting better and better. Just when we think she’s outdone herself, Kez wows us with another masterpiece and sets the bar even higher!!
Fortunately, we still have quite a few more birthdays to look forward to this season (otherwise I guarantee some of us would be rearranging the calendar to score a second birthday.)
After eating so much yummy cake our waistlines are now getting much bigger, but so are our smiles!!
