Hello dear friends,
A necessarily brief station news this week as the station welcomes the Aurora Australis which, as this is being written, is slowly edging its way towards station. Already, the station has welcomed an additional 37 expeditioners via helicopter, processed three flights by the twin otter aircraft to Mawson station, delivered inductions and cargo briefings to new arrivals, and commenced the final preparations for the cargo and refuel operations expected to begin today.
It has been good fun welcoming the new crew and having the pleasure of their company on station. See you next week!
