The weather went from one extreme to the other this week, with the worst blizzard experienced this winter and then some clear, sunny skies just a few days later.

Weather extremes

This week’s news bought to you by Grant D.

The first week of August had us experience weather extremes.

Mid-week had us all bunked down in the red shed or work places, unable to venture outside in the worst blizzard this winter, with winds gusting to 112 knots.

By the weekend the weather had made a complete turn around. We had a couple of days of near perfect weather — very little wind, almost clear skies and lots of sun.

Sunday was a great day to relieve some built-up cabin fever with a walk over to Reeve’s Hill. It was a great opportunity to get a few photos and stretch the legs.
