Once upon a time I would wake up and the sun was well and truly high in the sky, yet now I’m walking to get my morning coffee as the sun yawns and starts its day. A perk of this dopey sun is the way it lights up the sky and transforms familiar surroundings into a dramatic and moody landscape.
Recently I’ve found myself engulfed in some incredibly mesmerising scenes. Most of the time I don’t think to capture a photo, but when I do I always feel that the photo doesn’t do it justice. But hey, they’re still pretty great. In fact, you can point your camera anywhere here and you’d be doing something wrong if you took a bad photo.
A poem recently written about our friend, crepuscular, who sometimes visits and can be seen out toward the horizon. This is dedicated to Damo – our shining light;
Sun hangs low
Sky not yet bright
Then an eerie glow
A piercing beam of light
Dark skies for days
Moods have sunk low
But these godly rays
oh, the endorphins flow!
Stand tall and proud
Gaze long and far
Point up to the cloud
Yell “crepuscular!”
