There has been much excitement and anticipation around station for a few weeks now, not only is Mid Winter coming but we are also waiting on a very special event.
Alex our SFTO (Senior Field Training Officer) and his wife Paz are expecting their first baby any moment now. By the time you read this we may have the newest addition to our family; a baby boy named Amaró Leon Velasco.
Alex is good hands here at Macca with near half the station community being dads and a few grandads. So there’s a lot of advice on tap.
Last week we celebrated the very special coming event, with a cake made by our very own Master Chef Arvid and a toast to Alex and Paz. Paz is in Argentina with family and friends for the birth. We’ve given her a present from the Macca team to open when Amaró arrives. Alex has received an exclusive Macca 2020 baby onesie the right size for Amaró when Alex unites with his family in person.
