Voyage 8 resupply operations, May 2023 - Week 1

This week has seen the commencement of Voyage 8 resupply operations at Macquarie Island.

The big red ship arrived in Buckles Bay mid-afternoon on Saturday 13 May and resupply operations commenced in earnest.

The key objectives for Voyage 8 are the discharge of 484 tonnes of cargo to sustain station operations over the next year.

In addition, the operation is supporting station and field visits for 60 personnel to complete key science and operational projects.
