Davis plumbers have got the station's water production plant up and running.

Water production at Davis is in full swing

This month we have started water production to produce approximately 1.8 million litres of water to replenish water stocks at Davis research station.

Before the plant was started we had to replace the ultra filtration (UF) membranes and reverse osmosis (RO) membranes for efficient production of water and also to compliment the freshly refilled tarn that the 77th ANARE left.

With the work of all station plumbers including Jason, Troy and myself, we were able to successfully achieve this.

We now monitor the plant four times a day, filling out run sheets for records and monitoring of the plant.

What a great experience being able to contribute to such a critical part of Davis station.
