Coming to an end on my time at Davis
Hello,
Well, the end of this adventure is approaching us so quickly now it feels like we have to rush to get in all of the activities we want to achieve for the season.
Preparation for the return of the ship RSV Nuyina is starting to ramp up and we are trying to finish off all the jobs we have remaining for the season. This does not mean we can not make time for sightseeing and spending time with some awesome people along the way.
Just last weekend I was able to go for a tour of all the amazing icebergs that surround us locked in the sea ice, and saw the return of the wildlife after winter as we came across three emperor penguins making their way across the sea ice. I still have much more I wish to see here before it comes to an end but at the same time I am also looking forward to returning to warmer climates to see family and friends.
Words do not do this place justice and the experience is a once in a life time and will be almost impossible to top.
Thanks,
Will Jacobs - Station Mechanical Supervisor
