The value of every muddy step ...

Reclaiming perspective

We spend so much of our journey watching the ground, each careful step to avoid stumbling into a wallow or slipping down the grassy slopes. The tracks demands focus, but to fixate on the next foothold is to miss the vastness that surrounds you.

To stop and look up is to reclaim perspective, to see this amazing island in all its glory.

So hike on, but do not forget to pause. Look up. Let the world remind you that every step, however muddy, carries you toward something worth seeing.
