Recruitment for tradespeople keen to work with the Australian Antarctic Program has just under a month left to run, with hundreds of positions on offer.

Contracts range from six months to more than 15 months across a range of roles including electricians, field training officers, mechanics, chefs, supply officers and information technology officers.

Successful expeditioners will live in tight knit communities, helping run Australia’s three scientific research stations in Antarctica – Davis, Mawson and Casey – and one on sub-Antarctic Macquarie Island.
