Selfie-taking emperor penguins, a headless chicken monster and film star Sam Neill; it’s been another amazing year for the Australian Antarctic Program.
In 2018 more than 500 expeditioners travelled south to Australia’s Casey, Davis and Mawson research stations and to sub-Antarctic Macquarie Island.
Our stations, ships and planes have supported scientific research in the Southern Ocean and deep into the Antarctic interior.
We are excited to see what 2019 brings!
