Dr Nick Gales has been appointed as the next Director of the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD). He will take over from Dr Tony Fleming who retires next week after four years in the role.
Dr Gales joined the AAD in 2001 and is currently the Division’s Chief Scientist and the Department of the Environment’s Chief Science Adviser.
The appointment was announced today.
