Graham Cook was awarded the Antarctic Medal for service to the Australian Antarctic Program as a station leader. He has made a lasting impact by playing a significant part in the evolution of the role of station leader and bringing together the Antarctic Community.
Graham has served as station leader at the 3 research stations in Antarctica over 5 winters. These span multiple periods, starting in 2004/05 with the latest winter being 2012/13 at Mawson. During this time, he has provided outstanding leadership, not only to the expeditioners on station but also more broadly to the Australian Antarctic Program.
