Alison Dean has worked with various nations in the Antarctic over the last 20 years. She has completed nine winters (with her tenth at Casey research station during 2019/20), six of them since 2010 with the AAD. Alison has served as Station Leader at all of Australia's four research stations in Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic. During this time she has provided exceptional leadership in building strong and resilient communities and leading teams through a number of high intensity operations, not only to the expeditioners on station but more broadly to the Australian Antarctic Program.
