Murray Hotchin has served on two wintering and three summering expeditions, visiting all four Australian stations, as a Senior Electrical Fitter and Mechanic and recently as the Electrical Works Supervisor. He has made a sustained effort over many years, not only in his work area but in the support and assistance he offers to the whole expedition — notably scientific projects, traverse preparations and the diving program.
Murray’s enthusiasm and dedication have set an outstanding example to other Antarctic expeditioners.
