Dr John Cadden is recognised for his high-quality and comprehensive Antarctic medical services.

Dr Cadden provided medical services during voyages, winter and summer expeditions.

He has worked with the Polar Medicine Unit to provide exceptional medical support. His work has encompassed the full scope of Antarctic medical practice. This has included generalist remote and extreme medical practice, surgery, and mental health.

He is recognised for his expertise in psychiatry, psychology and mental health management. These have ensured wellbeing and safety for expeditioners.

He has earned the respect, confidence and gratitude of his fellow expeditioners.

Dr Cadden has made an outstanding contribution to the support of Antarctic station and field communities.
