Ray Pike, a foreman with the Australian Construction Services, wintered in 1990 at Davis Station and 1992 at Mawson station. In 1992 Ray also held the position of Deputy Station Leader. He showed great skill in balancing his responsibilities as Construction Foreman, maintaining close links with all station personnel and giving loyalty and support to the Station Leader.
He has brought great energy, enthusiasm and common sense with him to Antarctica, to the overall benefit of ANARE.
