Anthony Everett has served three winters with ANARE, one being taken on at short notice to due injury forcing the repatriation of another expeditioner.

As well as fulfilling his building role very efficiently in the harsh environment, he was the most skilled and active expeditioner working and training the huskies, maintaining dog sleds and repairing harnesses, all in recreation time. It was largely due to his efforts that the dog teams became fit, healthy and disciplined which was a major factor in the safe and successful completion of the station’s field biology program.
