Two superficially similar species, Eusirus perdentatus Chevreux, 1912, and E. propeperdentatus Andres, 1979, have overlapping geographic distributions around Antarctica. Here, revisions are suggested for both species to clarify their status and distribution and to facilitate identifications…
An atlas of surficial salts of the Vestfold Hills, East Antarctica: composition, distribution and origin ANARE Report, 2000
(Ref: 9479)
Category 1: Peer-reviewed literature
A regional chemical boundary termed the ‘salt line ’,in the Vestfold Hills of East Antarctica, was investigated using X-ray diffraction and electron probe analyses of surficial salts, and conductivity of surficial sediments. West of the salt line, halite and thenardite are abundant.
