Project aim

The abundance of sediment-living communities in the impacted marine bay adjacent to Casey Station is related to sediment metal concentrations, particularly tin, lead, copper, cadmium and iron. This project will characterise these five metals, particularly how they are bound in the sediment, which determines their toxicity in the environment.
