Project aim
The project aims to study the diversity of Antarctic fungi and the protist. Comparison with the tropical species will be made based on their morphological, physiological, biochemical and molecular charateristics. Exploration of this ecologically extreme habitats, hope will lead to the discovery of a considerable number of novel and more diverse microbial species compounds.
