Sedimentary environments and transport paths on the George V-Wilkes Land Margin

Project aim

This project will use a multibeam echo sounder to map the seafloor geomorphology, sedimentary structures and textures on the George V continental shelf, slope and rise in order to understand the modern sea floor characteristics, sedimentary processes and the history of environmental change in the region. The new data will allow more targeted sea bed sampling.
