Objective determination of water mass property changes in the Circumpolar Current during 1991 - 1996

Project aim

Antarctica is the formation region for most of the world ocean’s water masses. Their properties are determined through interaction with the atmosphere in winter, when their formation region is inaccessible.

This project will develop a method to reconstruct water mass properties from summer observations in the Circumpolar Current.
