Project aim
This project will contribute to a revolution in our understanding of the Southern Ocean. ANARE vessels will deploy robot floats in the Australian sector of the Southern Ocean which, when combined with international efforts, will provide observations of the entire ice-free ocean above 2000 metres in near real-time by 2006.
