Project aim
Plants from herbarium collections dating back to the 19th century will be compared with recent collections to gain an understanding of ecosystems responses to global change. Stable isotope tracers and leaf surface characteristics of plants originating from selected subantarctic and Antarctic localities will provide unique insight to understand how global change affects these rapidly altering ecosystems.
