Project aim
The concentration of tiny plants (phytoplankton) in Antarctic waters can be estimated by space-based sensors which measure light reflected from the ocean surface. This project will help to interpret such satellite data, by conducting physical and biological measurements in the Antarctic sea ice region for comparison with the satellite information.
