Project aim
A joint Italian/Australian expedition collected multi-channel seismic data over the George Vth continental shelf in February-March 2000. Tomographic analysis of this data will provide evidence of ice sheet extension and retreat through time. This record of glacial variation can be used to reconstruct past global atmospheric cycles of warming and cooling.
