Project aim
Abandoned (relict) Adélie penguin colonies will be investigated to determine the occupation history and diet of Adelie penguins in the Casey/Windmill Islands region. Radiocarbon dates will provide information on when penguins occupied and abandoned the region in response to climate change. This information will facilitate conservation efforts of this species in Antarctica.
