Prince Charles Mountains
Project aim
In 2002/03 it is proposed to mount a combined Australian and German expedition to investigate geological and glaciological histories and past climates in the southern Prince Charles Mountains. This will be of national significance as it will identify continental geological/glaciological processes occurring in Australia-Antarctica, prior to and during their separation ~120 million years ago, and relate them to present day observations.
