Comments

All on station were up early this morning. At first light we started embarking passengers to the ship by LARC. After a relatively quick operation all expeditioners were on board. We farewelled those staying on the island for winter and prepared the ship for departure. All on board received a shipboard induction and readied their cabins for the three day transit back to Hobart. We left Macquarie Island shortly after and were quickly in amongst the rolling waves. Only a few expeditioners have made it down to the galley for lunch which was a rather tasty beef curry. A change from all the fish based meals we have had so far. Of course the main meal was followed by a cheese platter as we have come to expect. As everyone gets their sea legs they will most likely watch a movie in the passenger lounge or take in the view from the bridge.
REGARDS: Martin and Mark
