Comments

We continued to discharge cargo yesterday afternoon and after 69 lifts of the crane we managed to discharge 24.7 tonnes. This was a great effort by all considering the rise and fall of the ship which made loading the LARCs difficult. Last night the station handed over to the 69th ANARE team. For those wondering, there was no intentional correlation between the number of cargo lifts and the expedition number! This morning we had fresh north westerly winds of 25 knots for the start of operations. With three LARCs on the water again today we have almost emptied the hold of cargo. We hope to finish discharging all cargo today meanwhile backloading RTA. The cargo hands from station who are assisting on the ship have made the discharge process possible.
