Grappled pulse mooring 1700 EST yesterday. Finished recovery 2100 EST. Top section above torpedo floats had broken off prior to recovery and was missing. Numerous tangles in the lower section complicated and slowed recovery. Mooring crew have serviced the equipment and are currently re-spooling the cable. Redeployment is expected to take place after 1800 tonight. We expect to move to the 54S mooring next as the weather for our current area of operations is expected to deteriorate. CTD cable load test also completed and winch rigged for trial cast using a heavy test weight as an opportunity presents.
