DEPARTURE INFORMATION: (updated 7/12/06 @ 1425 hours) - The Aurora Australis will depart from Macquarie Number Three berth. Expeditioners are to meet at Macquarie Three shed at 1415. This is found by continuing up Hunter Street past the Arts Centre and past the Port Control Tower. The shed is on the right hand side of the road before the security post and the yellow automatic gate to the AGAD Cargo facility at Macquarie Four.
We will have the Master's briefing from 1430-1530 after that all expeditiners will be released.
Those requiring Customs clearance (those who do not hold Australian passports and those wishing to use the Tourist Refund Scheme) will be required to re-board the ship 1600 to be cleared.
The remaining expeditioners will be required to board at 1700 for a 1730 departure.
Well wishers will be able to remain in the shed at Macquarie 3 and observe the departure of the ship from there. Well wishers will not at any stage be permitted onto the ship.
Busses will collect expeditioners from Quest Trinity, Old Woolstore apartments, St Ives Hotel, Lenna apartments, Mecure and Quest Savoy. Bus passenegers are all requested to be ready for pack up at 1345.
