Purpose of voyage: Casey changeover

Comments: Prior to the departure of Voyage 2 from Hobart on 2 December, the Aurora Australis will undertake marine science equipment trials in coastal waters near Hobart, and equipment calibration at Port Arthur. The trials will also be used to undertake safety training for Voyage 2, Voyage 3 and Voyage 5 personnel who are required to work on the trawl deck. Personnel who have that role or who need to set up laboratories while the ship is at sea should contact Peter Wiley (61) 03 6232 3106 to add their names to the list of personnel participating in the trial cruise.

Comments: Where possible and subject to the availability of cargo space on Voyage 2, Marine Science and general support containers required for Voyage 3 will be loaded in Hobart on Voyage 2 to reduce the cost of later shipment as freight to Fremantle.
