The inaugural Australian Antarctic Program Expeditioner Summit will bring together all expeditioners heading south to Antarctica and Macquarie Island in 2023/24.

The Summit will deliver mandatory foundation training, onboard expeditioners and provide a comprehensive season overview of the Australian Antarctic Program.

Held at the Wrest Point Convention Centre, Hobart in the last two weeks of August, Expeditioners will attend either week one or week two of a 5 day program, tailored to support both new and returning expeditioners.

Week One: Sunday 13th August - Friday 18th August, 2023.

Week Two: Sunday 20th August - Friday 25th August, 2023.

Key outcomes of the Summit include taking the first steps towards building a resilient and connected Antarctic community, and setting behavioural expectations.

The week-long program will inform, inspire and engage expeditioners as they join the Australian Antarctic Program.

We are really excited to bring together our next Antarctic community at the Summit and can’t wait to see all our expeditioners in August!
