Antarctic iceberg drift and ocean currents derived from scatterometer image series. Proceedings of workshop on "Emerging scatterometer applications: from research to operations"., 1998 (Ref: 8796)
Authors:
Category 3: Conference paper

The ERS Wind scatterometer provides frequent measurements of the microwave backscatter of the Antarctic region. From these data a time series of coarse resolution radar images are generated using normalised values of the backscatter.

Antarctic iceberg drift velocity derived from scatterometer image series. Proceedings of IGARSS`98, Seattle, WA, USA. 6-10 July 1998, 1998 (Ref: 8826)
Authors:
Category 3: Abstract

The 500 km wide swath of the right-looking ERS Wind scatterometer and the orbital geometry allows measurement of the microwave backscatter of all the Antarctic region between latitudes 55°S and 80°S each three days.

Ice sheet surface velocities along the Lambert Glacier Basin traverse route Antarctic CRC Research Report No.23, 2001 (Ref: 9886)
Authors:
Category 3: Article

Between 1989/90 and 1994/95, geodetic GPS surveying techniques were used to measure ice sheet surface velocities at approximately 30 km intervals around an oversnow traverse route in the interior drainage basin of the Lambert Glacier, East Antarctica (longitude 54°-78°E, latitude 67°-76°S).

Accumulation distribution in the IAGP area, Antarctica: 90 degrees E - 150 degrees E. Annals of Glaciology, 1982 (Ref: 2077)
Category 1: Peer-reviewed literature

The distribution of mean net accumulation rate over a large sector (90°E to 150°E) of the IAGP (International Glaciological Project) area is presented in map form. The basic data have been compiled from direct measurements of accumulation at stake networks…

Applications of time series of microwave backscatter over the Antarctic region. Proceedings of the 3rd ERS scientific symposium, Florence, 17-21 March, 1997., 1997 (Ref: 8553)
Category 3: Conference paper

The 500 km wide swath of the ERS Wind scatterometer and its orbit geometry allows the measurement of the microwave backscatter of all the Antarctic region between latitudes 55°S and 79°S every three days.
