Summary
Ozone climatologies are presented for a number of locations in the Australian region, making use of both total ozone and ozone profile data, as measured by the Bureau of Meteorology’s Dobson and ozonesonde networks. For mid-latitude sites (Melbourne and Macquarie Island), interannual variability is found to be dominated by the Quasi-Biennial Oscillation (QBO), particularly in the winter and spring months when the Brewer-Dobson circulation is strongest.
