Summary

Within the genus Riccia in South Australia at least 21 species have been found, with twelve species in the subgenus Riccia and nine in the subgenus Ricciella. Twelve of the species have not previously been reported for the State. A key to the species and taxonomic descriptions, together with illustrations of thalli and spores of most of the species are given.
