Comments

We've made a great start to the journey home, cutting through the Southern Ocean at 14 to 15 knots. We'll be back in Hobart on Saturday morning, alongside at 1000.
Now the work is done for most expeditioners, it's time to relax or catch up on other work.
The choppy seas have sent some back to their cabins for a snooze, or to the doctor for help, others are battling it out on the table tennis table.
There are have been several whale sightings, the most recent a juvenile humpback, and the evenings are being spent either catching up on sleep or watching movies.
Last night one of our helicopter ground crew gave a fascinating talk on his rare fruit orchard in Queensland and hopefully there'll be one or two more volunteers willing to educate us on their life's passion before we get in.
Two more days to go and we'll be back in Hobart. The cleaning has started, everyone's packing up their cargo and moving it where it needs to be, and there's a new 'no holds barred' approach to dessert.
With heavier seas to come, remember the ship doctor's advice – always keep one hand free for the ship (ie make sure you're hanging on!).

REGARDS: Brendan, Jenn, and Nick
