Comments

The distance covered from the voyage just ticked over 8,700 NM. That is over 16,000 kms – which is almost the same distance from Berlin to Sydney or from Washington DC to Hobart. It feels like a long way on one hand and not a very long way at all on the other.
The trip is almost complete. Nuyina will be alongside Macquarie Wharf No.4 tomorrow at approximately 12:15pm. Our arrival is forecast to be accompanied by a mostly sunny day. It is a perfect way to end an Antarctic voyage - to sail up the Derwent and arrive in the picturesque city of Hobart.
Thank you to the expeditioners onboard and the crew of Nuyina. It has been quite the adventure in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Regards, Chris, Andrew & Nate
