Efforts today were about Mawson, even though we were at anchor at Davis. The team onboard did a fantastic job getting to some elusive part that were needed at Mawson before the beginning of winter. Davis also assisted and provided some Bureau of Meteorology equipment that will be of great use to Mawson this coming year.
With that done, Nuyina weighed anchor and left under an almost sunny sky to cruise out though the pancake ice whilst specky icebergs passed down both sides. The addition of a lone Adelie penguin or a seal laying in the sun making for the almost perfect photo.
We are now, again, heading towards Mawson to fly in these critical parts. The weather will determine exactly when but Nuyina will be ready to launch Saturday morning.
Regards, Chris & Andrew
