Comments

As predicted, yesterday's blizzard had winds up to 60 knots. The bridge team were kept busy with extra lookouts ensuring the ship stayed away from the dangers of icebergs, growlers and uncharted shoals, all done with very limited visibility. The evening then cleared to a beautiful night with another stunning aurora that had many onboard up late for a round of amazing photos.
Yesterday we also took a moment for International Women's Day to recognise the contribution to the voyage and the onboard team of the over 20 women filling various roles and professions.
Cargo operations are currently underway, taking every opportunity to ensure Mawson has what it needs for the year, before the next expected low-pressure system comes in tomorrow.
Regards, Chris & Andrew
