Comments

Nuyina continues on a westerly heading as we transit to Davis having successfully completed operations at Casey Station yesterday.
Marine Science had a successful night overnight with the collection of approximately 700 Krill and the acoustics team have started data collection on the shelf break that will help inform the future Denman Marine campaign.
On the expeditioner side of the house, field training continues in preparation for the winterers to go ashore at Mawson.
Steaming just outside the edge of the ice in (relatively) calm seas, the continent remains out of view on our port side obscured by fog and cloud banks. What is in view however, is the ice edge and a parade of increasingly large icebergs presenting a spectacle that can be enjoyed from the relative comfort of the observation lounge with a warm drink, or alternately from the upper decks for those willing to brave the cold and the wind to get that perfect photograph.
Regards, Nate Chris & Andrew
