Comments

The transit to Casey from Davis and then on to Mawson is not a voyage route that is often done, so those onboard Nuyina feel very lucky. The acoustic team are also taking the advantage for some additional bathymetry mapping as we skirt along the sea ice edge with the Antarctic coastline in the distance.
The helicopters and crew that we retrieved will be deploy into Davis Thursday, weather permitting, to support some important survey work at the Larsemann Hills before we return in a few weeks. Australia's Law Base in the Larsemann Hills was established over 38 years ago when the first survey was conducted to facilitate the establishment of Law Base for the purpose of scientific exploration.
Currently we are expecting to arrive Davis on Thursday, the second Station on our Antarctic adventure. But before then, we'll enjoy the sights of this beautiful section of East Antarctica.

Regards, Chris, Andrew & Nate
