With the lighter seas of today, it seems a good time to talk about the excellent food and amenities onboard Nuyina. The galley and mess area are well stocked and the variety and quality of offerings are impressive. Last night the talented cooks served, among many things, lamb shanks with all the trimmings and a sticky date pudding for the sweet side of the palate.
Of course, that leads me to the helicopter pad walkers and exercisers. It is a keen group that makes the most of the conditions and enjoys the fresh air as they walk clockwise or counter clockwise. There are even some who do their gym workout in thermals and outer layers, using the helicopter hanger as their backdrop. It is not something you don't see very often, but it works.
And as we close on 60 S latitude, the weather tonight will turn rougher, the seas bigger and we have been reminded to make sure our cabins and we are ready to hang on for the ride.
Regards, Chris, Andrew & Nate
