As we sail south, our minds turn to what is instore for us next. Is it the sighting of an iceberg? Is it a large pod of whales? When are we crossing 60 degrees south latitude and entering Neptune's southern court? It really summarises the experience of an expeditioner heading to Antarctic by ship, there are amazing things where ever you turn.
That extends to onboard, today as part of our familiarisation, some of us were able to see the moon pool, dedicated to science where from inside the ship you can see the florescent blue of the ocean beneath us.
We will wind our clocks back tonight for a second time to +9 UTC as we get closer to Casey. Currently we should arrive at Casey around midday of Friday. When will some see the continent for the first time.
Regards, Chris, Andrew & Nate
